Sacramento, Calif. ---AAU competed in nine events this weekend at the Sacramento State University Hornet Invitational.

 

For the women, Denisse Correa finished 17th, which was the top finish for the women's track and field team, with a 19:39.58 in the 5000 meter run. 

Rodnesha Lee, also a Dame for the Academy of Art University, ran the 100 meter, finishing in 37th place with a time of 14.57. 

Junior Aubrey Hadley ran the 800 in a time of 2:37.48, and Monique Hernandez ran the 1500 meter in 6:19.58

 

On the men's side, Simon Mutai took the highest men's spot, finishing 16th in the 1500 meter run, with a time of 4:08.45. Joey Villasenor would follow closely with a 19th place finish in the 800 meter run. Amos Maru rounded out the top in the men's position with a 20th place finish in the 1500 meter run.
