Women's Golf Takes Sixth at Sonoma State Invitational

Santa Rosa, CA --- 
Nova Southeastern Univ shot a 876 on Tuesday afternoon, a full 39 strokes ahead of  any other team in the field, to cruise to the team title at the Sonoma State Women's Golf Invitational at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.

In the Urban Knights first tournament of the Fall season ART U found themselves in 6th place out of nine teams by the end of the SSU Invitational. As a team ART U improved in their final round of play, shooting a 311. Combined with their first two rounds (318-315) the Urban Knights boasted a 961 after three rounds.
 
The Vikings of NSU also boasted the top three finishers in a dominating performance. Western Washington finished second as a team.Followed by St. Edwards University and host Somona State University. 

For the Urban Knights Crystal Superal led the charge, finishing tied for 14th place (81-76-77--234). Lyra Yoe shaved six strokes off her second round score and finished the third round with a score of 77. Overall, Yoe finished tied for 26th (83-83-77).

Andrea Nieto
  also finished tied for 26th, shooting 85-77-81-- 243 over three rounds. Laura Huertas shot a team low third round score of 76 to finish the tournament in a two way tie for 30th with western Washington's Claire Rachor. Rounding out  ART U's play was freshman Sierra Sanchez, who shot a 248 (84-83-81) finishing tied for 34th.
