2013 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships Results (Day 1)
Albuquerque, NM – With her final series of jumps before the NCAA Division II National Championships next weekend, senior
Vashti Thomas highlighted the Academy of Art University's first day at the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships on Saturday. Her long jump distance of 20-7.75 (6.29m) serves as a season-best and the new top mark in all of NCAA DII. It placed her 6th overall in the competition.

400m dash, redshirt freshman
Shaquille Howard was up against some of the nation's elite talent. His time of 48.34 was his fourth-best of the season and makes him the lone Urban Knight on the Top 5 all-time list for the 400m. He placed 6th in the event.
The Urban Knights will be back in action inside the Indoor Track Convention Center tomorrow. ART U is scheduled to have representatives in the women's 60m dash and 60m hurdles as well as the men's triple jump.
