2015 Cal State East Bay/Chabot College Legacy MeetHAYWARD, Calif. – During a busy weekend in Southern California, a small contingent from the Academy of Art University track & field team remained local to partake in the annual Cal State East Bay/Chabot College Legacy Invitational across the bridge.
Shabari Bailey was one of two men to compete in a pair of events, placing second in two rounds of the 110m hurdles as well as the 400m hurdles.
Thomas Benson toed the line in both the 200m and 400m.
Distance athletes
Brett Bermudez and
Chris Costa were in action in the 1500m and 5000m respectively.
On the women's side,
Kayla Pritchett finished among the top-10 in the 400m dash while
Atiya Harvey threw her first shot put as an Urban Knight.
The 1500m featured both
Emily McCarty and
Jamie Morris who each finished among the upper half of the participants.
ART U looks ahead to the Drake Relays and two Brutus Hamilton meets at UC Berkeley on Apr. 24-25.
