KAHUKU, Hawaii – If Academy of Art women's golf finishing second at the 2017 PacWest Golf Championship doesn't impress you, then maybe the fact that all of their scorers were named to the All-Tournament team will. All four Urban Knights earned the distinction by claiming spots within the top ten, closing out the tournament with a final, overall score of 939.

Junior
Shu-lin Lin continued to outperform her teammates with an overall score of 231 strokes to claim fourth-place, her highest finish at the conference championship. Lin shot a 78 in the final round to finish the three-round tournament with 231 strokes, just one behind the third-place finisher and four behind Samantha Martinez who won the individual title for California Baptist.
"It was great to have Shu-lin lead the team this tournament," said head coach
Elaine Harris. "It was nice to see her lead with a good attitude and love for the game."
Freshman
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo finished in a tie for fifth after turning in her lowest score in the final round. Kuo completed her final set of 18 holes with two birdies. Both junior
Sterling Hawkins and her sister, freshman
Elan Hawkins tied for ninth-place with 237 strokes overall. Sterling shot an 81 on Wednesday while Elan finished with 80 strokes. Although her finish did not count towards the team's overall score, in her final tournament with ART U, senior
Roxanne Matta placed 26th with an overall score of 254.
"The course was a great test of golf," said Harris. "Each day the wind blew hard and it rained for a brief period on the final day. Moving forward, we will continue to work on our wedge game and shots into the wind, as this will be our key to success moving forward."

Academy of Art's second-place finish is tied for the best placement in the program's five years of attending the PacWest Championship. The Urban Knights also came in second-place in both
2013 and
2016. This is also the first time that all of ART U's scorers have finished in the top 10. The Urban Knights finish was just 10 strokes shy of first-place California Baptist who won the competition.Â
