USTFCCCA Press Release

NEW ORLEANS – In a Thursday announcement from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), Academy of Art University track & field head coach Kevin LaSure has been elevated to President of the NCAA Division II Track & Field Executive Committee.

This is the first time since 2010-11 that a minority member will assume the presidency of the NCAA Division II Track & Field Executive Committee. Prior to him becoming President, LaSure served as 1st Vice President to Texas A&M-Kingsville's Ryan Dall from 2015 to 2017, Track & Field Secretary from 2014 to 2015, and as the Track & Field Representative for the Northeast-10 Conference from 2011 to 2014. LaSure has also served on the NCAA Division II Executive Council from 2014 to the present day, as Chair of the NCAA Division II Hall of Fame Committee from 2015 to 2017 and as a member of the NCAA Division II Law & Legislation Committee from 2014 to 2015.

As President, LaSure will be relied upon as a representative for the NCAA Division II coaching body and guide process for any legislation that comes from that group. Read the full release at the link above.
