ROAD TRIP FINALE
In their final road trip of the season Academy of Art will take on Azusa Pacific and Concordia before returning to the Bay for their last three games of 2018.
KICKOFF
ART U departs on their final road trip to face Azusa Pacific on Saturday October 20 at 5 p.m. and Concordia Monday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. The Urban Knights will then return to PacWest conference play Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. Remember to follow @ARTU_Knights via the athletics app (

KNIGHT WATCH
Junior midfielder
Adrian Cekala has been on an absolute terror, scoring four goals in his last three games including two multi-goal games on
Oct. 10 and
Oct. 16, plus an assist. The recent offensive explosion has resulted in a team leading six goals and 13 points. Three Urban Knights collected their second goals of the season in the past week: senior defender
Connor Henrichs, sophomore defender
Oliver Hadeen, and junior midfielder
Andrew Deans. Hadeen leads the trio with six points on two goals and two assists.
FIRST PLACE COUGARS
No. 14 Azusa Pacific has enjoyed a very successful 2018 thus far, with an overall record of 11-1-1 and an undefeated conference record of 6-0-0. They come into their game with ART U on an eight game winning streak. Their only loss came in the second game of the season against No. 24 UC San Diego by a score of 3-1. The Cougars strong offense is lead by Gabriel Costa who boasts a PacWest leading 34 points from 12 goals and ten assists. APU's second highest scorer is Arturo Astorga who has collected seven goals and six assists for 20 points, sixth highest in the PacWest. Academy of Art is 2-4 all-time against the Cougars with the most recent meeting going the way of APU 2-1.
IRVINE EAGLES
Concordia sits at 5-8 overall and an even 3-3 in conference. The Eagles snapped their three game losing streak in their most recent match, a victory over Chaminade 1-0. Perhaps their most significant win came Oct. 4th, when they upset the preseason favorite Point Loma at home 3-2. Connor Gordon is the main offensive threat for the Eagles with 11 goals, fourth highest in the PacWest, and one assist for a total of 23 points, fifth highest in the PacWest. The all-time series sits even at 1-1. The Urban Knights took the most recent meeting 1-0.
KNIGHTS EARN FIRST CONFERENCE WIN 4-0
Academy of Art claimed their first conference victory of 2018 in a commanding 4-0 win over Holy Names on a stellar performance by
Adrian Cekala who captured his second brace of the year in Tuesday afternoon's battle for the bay.

LOOKING AHEAD
After the road trip the Urban Knights will return to the bay for their final three games of 2018, starting with Hawaii Pacific Oct. 27 on LGBTQ history day at CCSF Soccer Field. Chaminade will be next Oct. 29th and Notre Dame de Namur to conclude the 2018 season on senior day Nov. 3rd.
