Jensson Earns PacWest Defender of the Week

PacWest Defender of the Week Oct. 22

IRVINE, Calif. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Kris Jensson is PacWest Defender of the Week after earning his second shutout of the season Oct. 16 versus Holy Names. Jensson collected six saves to keep the Hawks scoreless.

On Oct. 20 the Iceland native contained No. 14 Azusa Pacific to a single goal while compiling seven saves. The 1-0 game marks the first time the Cougars have been held to less than one goal in 2018 PacWest play, and is only the third time APU has scored less than two goals all season. The goal snapped Jensson's 168 minute scoreless streak.

With 13 saves on the week Jensson brings his season total to 69, second in the PacWest and just a single save back from the top spot.
