Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout Final Results
Â
PLEASANTON, Calif. – In the second and final round of the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, Academy of Art women's golf slashed their second-round score by a total of four strokes (305). Their efforts were enough to sustain their spot in second-place, finishing just three strokes behind California Baptist.

Senior
Sterling Hawkins continued to impress on the final day, shooting another 74, matching her opening round score and placing second out of 96 individuals. Her 148 strokes fell just two shy of the individual champion: Jaime Jacob from Cal State San Marcos.
"Sterling was hitting the ball really well," said head coach
Elaine Harris. "She was really energized after missing the last tournament, and the last week and a half of preparing really paid off. I look forward to seeing her compete in the future."
Freshman
Anahi Servin came in second for the Urban Knights, closing out the final round with 78 strokes to tie for 11th. Next came sophomore
Elan Hawkins whose 157 total strokes (80 in the second round) garnered a 16th-place tie and sophomore
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo tied for 19th with 158 strokes of her own.
Â
ART U has now placed within the top three in each of their three spring tournaments including a team championship at the
Mikuni Sushi Shootout. The Urban Knights will now return home where they will prepare for their next tournament: the Otter Invitational March 19-20.
"I was really proud of our consistent play and team effort," said Harris. "Moving forward, we will need to work on finishing well and keeping our energy consistent throughout the tournament."Â
