2019 D2CCA Women's Soccer All-West Region Teams

SAN FRANCISCO – For the first time in ART U women's soccer program history, a pair of Urban Knights, senior forward Anissa Wilson and junior midfielder Sydney Cooke, have been selected to the D2CCA All-Region Team. The All-Region Teams are nominated and selected by the region's sports information directors. 11 institutions had at least one student-athlete named to the teams and ART U tied with Point Loma for the PacWest school with the most players selected. 

Anissa Wilson – All-West Region Second Team
In her final season as an Urban Knight, Wilson broke just about every scoring record in the books. Wilson started with the single-season goals record, which she broke just six matches into the season against William Jessup on Sept. 18 with her eighth goal. It also gave her the single-season points record at 17. Later in the season, Wilson became the career-goals leader with the 19th of her career which passed Hannah Emmett's record set in 2013, and brought her season point total to an astonishing 28. Her career point total moved up to 42, just one shy of tying the ART U career points record. For the second straight year she also set the single-season game-winning goals record. Wilson knocked-in four game-winners in 2019 to raise her career total to seven, the most in program history. By the end of the season, Wilson had scored 13 goals and collected two assists. This is Wilson's first career All-Region honor and second postseason award after being named All-PacWest First Team.

Sydney Cooke – All-West Region Second Team
Cooke's junior campaign was the best of her already impressive career at Academy of Art. She collected a career-high 13 points on four goals and five assists. Her 13 points and four goals were second highest on the team, while her five assists led ART U, and marked the second most assists in a single-season in program history. Cooke's final assist of the season was the 10th of her career and broke the ART U career-assists record set in 2012. This is Cooke's first career All-Region honor and second postseason award after being named All-PacWest Third Team.
