Top Two Finish Starts Spring Season

Mikuni Sushi Shootout Final Results

 

Lincoln, Calif. — ART U maintained their day one positioning on the leaderboard, stroking a second place finish at the Mikuni Sushi Shootout led by sophomore Iveta Posledni's highest finish of her career, tied for second out of a field of 73.

 

Posledni improved one stroke from yesterday to shoot the best round of her career, a 72 and end (+1) for the entire tournament. The sophomore from the Czech Republic sank seven birdies, fourth most in the field, and was named to the19289 All-Tournament team.

 

Sophomore Anahi Servin was the next best scorer for the Urban Knights, shooting a 76 (+4) on the final day to end (+5) overall nailing down a 10th place finish. A highlight of Servin's play came on hole 3 where she shot the first ART U eagle of the spring. She was one of only four players in the field to accomplish the feat of (-2) on a hole.

 

Junior Elan Hawkins was the third scorer for the Urban Knights shooting an 80 (+8) on day two to end tied for 18th and freshman Nattavadee "Baipor" Khunsri claimed the final scoring spot for ART U and ended tied for 33rd.

 

As a team ART U shot the second most pars with 98 only trailing tournament champion CSU San Marcos.

 

Academy of Art will continue their spring season with the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on March. 4-5 in Alameda Calif. at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex.
