PacWest Conference Track & Field Weekly Awards (Apr. 25)

IRVINE, Calif. – In the final tune-up before the Pacific West Conference Championships, Academy of Art distance specialist Victor Moreau turned in a lifetime-best in the 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational to go on to earn PacWest Men's Track Athlete of the Week in a Thursday release. The award was based on competition from Apr. 15-21.

Under the lights at Azusa Pacific's Cougar Stadium on Apr. 18, Moreau went head-to-head with CSU-Pueblo's Marcelo Laguera, ranked second in the 5000m in DII coming in, and delivered his fastest time in the event at 14:09.23. The mark earned Moreau Nationals provisional qualification, upping him to eighth in DII, and was second only to Valentin Pepiot (13:57.37) in ART U program history. 

This is the second PacWest track & field selection for Moreau in his career.
