Mustang Intercollegiate Final Results
GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- On the final day of the Mustang Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club, No. 17 Academy of Art improved one stroke from day one to claim the third spot out of a sizable field of 23 teams with a cumulative score of 591 (+15).
Â
"Overall a really good event for us," said head coach
Mitch Lowe. "We really got it going in the first round for a while so we know we can post great numbers. The physical skills are there, now we need to believe in ourselves as a team."
Sophomore
Anahi Servin continued to lead the team in the second round, finishing sixth overall with a round two score of 74 (+2). Servin collected another four birdies on the day, bringing her tournament total to nine, most of any golfer in the event. Finishing second for the Knights was junior
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo who improved 14 spots to tie for ninth place after shooting an ART U round two best 72 (E).

Tied for the 23rd spot overall was junior
Elan Hawkins and freshman
Nattavadee "Baipor" Khunsri, who both finished with an overall score 150. Once again Khunsri showed a glimpse of her ceiling, capturing another eagle on the par-5 18th to finish as the only golfer in the field of 114 with more than one eagle.Â
"Really proud of how everyone on the team stayed tough and played hard," commented Lowe.
