PacWest Conference Weekly Awards Sept. 19

IRVINE, Calif. – For the first time in her career, sophomore Chih-Hui "Judy" Shao was named PacWest Player of the Week after a career-high seventh place finish at the True North Classic on Sept. 17.

At the Richmond Country Club in British Colombia this past Monday and Tuesday, Shao shot the best round of her career, a 2-over-par 74, on day one, then maintained her top 10 finish through the end of the second day. She followed by maintaining her spot as the top ART U golfer on day two, shooting 6-over par 78 for a total of 152 strokes and a career-high seventh place finish.

"Very proud of Judy's finish," said head coach Mitch Lowe. "She got off to a rough start but played good golf this week and we look forward to that continuing throughout the year."
