2021 Sonoma State Invitational (Round One)
SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Opening its final tournament of the fall season, Academy of Art women's golf has junior
Anahi Servin first overall with a 1-under-par 71 through the first round of action at the Valley of the Moon Club on Monday. The Urban Knights are collectively tied for fifth overall in a 14-team field, the largest of the season thus far.
Servin turned in a team-best three birdies on the day, two in the final four holes, to collect her 71 score which was the best of all 80 golfers by two strokes. Sophomore
Jae Eun Park followed in a tie for 31st with a 6-over-par 80 while freshman
Tessa Geenen added a 7-over-par 81 good for 35th. The fourth and final qualifier after the first round was junior
Iveta Posledni in a tie for 56th.
Leading the team scores was Cal State San Marcos with a 306 followed closely by Menlo's 308. As a squad, ART U's 316 has them tied for fifth with fellow Pacific West Conference opponent Holy Names as well as Cal State East Bay.
Academy of Art returns to the links at Valley of the Moon Club tomorrow to tee off the second round at 8:30 a.m.
