2021 Sonoma State Spring Invitational (Full Results)

SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Seeking her fourth tournament win of the season, Academy of Art women's golf junior Anahi Servin would fall one stroke shy of first place at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club, ending the Sonoma State Spring Invitational as the runner up at 1-under-par 143. It is the 24th top-10 finish in Servin's career, which is now the most in ART U women's golf program history, passing the 23 of Lyra Roe (2009-2011). 

Beginning and ending the day in second place, Servin carded a 2-over-par 74 in the final round, tallying a total of 16 par's but finishing one stroke shy of Sonoma State's Lexi Nielsen (2-under-par 142). It's the second runner-up finish this year for Servin, who has finished in the top-2 in every tournament this season. Also finishing in the top-10 for the Urban Knights was freshman Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn, posting her best finish of the year in sixth place after she shot a 5-over-par 149. Rattanaprakarn was boosted by a solid back nine, carding four birdies and dropping an eagle on the 12th hole to also record a 2-over-par 74 in the final round.

Though the pair of Urban Knights were in the top-10, ART U would finish fourth as a team with a combined total of 35-over-par 611, finishing just three shots back of third-place Dominican. Junior Iveta Posledni recorded another top-20 finish, placing 18th at 15-over-par 159, while freshman Valeria Ruiz concluded ART U's scoring by ending in a tie for 19th after she shot a 16-over-par 160. 

The next stop for ART U is the Pacific West Conference Championships, as they tee off for the first round from the Waikoloa Golf Course in Hawaii on Monday, Apr. 19.
