IRVINE, Calif. -- After both placed among the top 15 at the Pacific West Conference Championship on Nov. 5, Academy of Art women's cross country redshirt senior Audrey Rosencrans and men's cross country senior Hudson Lockette each officially garnered recognition as All-PacWest Second and Third Team honorees respectively in announcements by the conference this week.

Rosencrans, who led ART U in a total of three races this season and was second to finish in two others, stepped into the conference meet having just run the ninth-fastest 6k time in ART U history (21:59.7) at NCAA D2 Pre-Nationals two weeks prior on Oct. 22. The Textile Design major would deliver her second-lowest mark of her career when she went 22:00.9 at the PacWest Championship to take 13th overall out of 83 runners and earn All-PacWest Second Team honors.

Lockette, who paced the Urban Knights in three races in 2022 and was second on the team in the three others, entered the PacWest race just under a month removed from his 8k personal best (25:06.7) which came at the Lewis Crossover on Oct. 8. The Illustration major proceeded to finish in 15th at the conference meet, bettering more than 50 others with a time of 25:18.3, the second-fastest 8k time of his career, for a place on the All-PacWest Third Team.

This is the third cross country All-PacWest Team selection for Lockette who earned Second Team in 2019 then Third Team in 2021. For Rosencrans, it is her fourth career All-PacWest Second Team honor in cross country after being selected in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
