2022 The Patriot Invitational (Final Results)

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – It was a steady day for Academy of Art women's golf, as the Urban Knights began and ended the final round of The Patriot Invitational from Poppy Hills Golf Course in ninth place and totaled a final score of 84-over-par 936, led by the tie for 13th place by junior Anahi Servin at 10-over-par 223. 

A pair of birdies in her final round would help Servin jump two spots into the tie for 13th place among a tough field of competition, carding a 2-over-par 73 on day three. On par-four holes is where Servin truly shined, as her combined score of 2-over-par on such holes was tied for third-best in the tournament field. Behind her in the ART U scoring was fellow junior Iveta Posledni, tying for 41st place at 24-over-par 237. Similar to Servin, Posledni excelled on par-five holes with a combined score of 5-over-par, tied for eighth best in the tournament field. Rounding out the scoring in back-to-back places was freshman Tessa Geenen and sophomore Jae Eun Park, as Geenen finished in 47th place at 27-over-par 240 while Park tied for 48th place at 28-over-par 241. 

Servin tied for the best individual mark by a Pacific West Conference golfer, matching the score of Sami Penor of Biola, though it was the Eagles who finished above the Knights as a team in a tie for sixth place at 75-over-par 927. Winning the team portion was host school Dallas Baptist University with a combined score of 10-over-par 862, and they also boasted the individual champion in Jordan Karrh with the only red score of the tournament at 1-under-par 212. 

Next time out for ART U will be the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, held from the Palm Valley Golf Club in Arizona beginning on Friday, Apr. 1.
