2023 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – With the start of the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships just over one week away, Academy of Art University track & field finished its 2023 outdoor regular season with a total of 35 All-Region honors as announced by the nation's foremost track and field organization on Wednesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded All-Region to the top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three, meaning eight members of the Urban Knights men's squad and eight women were selected.
Pacing a men's team rankedÂ
ninth in NCAA DIIÂ (fourth in West Region) with six honors wasÂ
Robin Black (100m, 200m, 110mH, 400mH, 4x100m, 4x400m) whileÂ
Duncan Agyemang (100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m, 4x400m) followed with five selections.Â
Ajani Ince (100m, 200m, 4x100m) added three honors while
Shareez Hamm (400mH, 4x400m),
Makarios Page (400m, 4x400m), and
Yacouba Gnacko (Long Jump, Triple Jump) each earned two apiece. Solo awards came for
Mathieu Tshani (Triple Jump) and
Emmanuel Ajiroba (4x100m).
For a women's team rankedÂ
14th nationally (second in West Region), three selections apiece came from
Selena Arjona-Alcazar (100m, 200m, 4x100m) and
Marie-Jeanne Ourega (100mH, Long Jump, Triple Jump). Two honors went to
Britney Clark (100m, 4x100m) while individual awards for
Katharina Goetschl (3000m Steeplechase),
Grace Southern (1500m),
Lisa Redlinger (10,000m),
Darria Matthias (4x100m), and
Alicia Thomas (4x100m) rounded out the collection.
The ART U men's and women's teams will be in action at the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships in Pueblo, Colorado on May 25-27.
