Correa Represents Urban Knights’ 10th Addition In 2023

SAN FRANCISCO – Academy of Art women's soccer program has officially reached double figures in terms of its number of new faces in 2023 as the Urban Knights welcome forward/midfielder Katie Correa (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) this fall.

"I chose to come to ART U because of the opportunities and connections I can make throughout this university by using my creativity," Correa said. "I'm most excited about making connections within the different industries and communities that come with the college experience."

After competing in soccer for Saugus High School as a freshman, Correa was named Attacking Payer of the Year once in her two seasons playing with Hart High School. She also competed for various club teams including FFSC Trial 05 and FFSC 05.

Joining an incoming recruiting class that includes Kayla Hampton, Jorryn EcheverriaBreanna BernardsonValeria Perez RiveraAshley TasevAlanna Del CarloMackenzie DowdJade Alverio, and Morgan Day, Correa will enter the School of Communications & Media Technologies as she pursues her future goal of becoming a marketing manager or film/video editor or director.
