2023 RJGA Shootout At Estrella Results (Round 1)

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – A score of 4-over-par was recorded by four Urban Knights during the first round of the 2023 RJGA Shootout at Estrella as Academy of Art women's golf currently stands at 12th as a team with a combined score of 17-over-par through one round of play at Golf Club at Estrella.

It was a combination of graduate student Jae Eun Park, senior Tessa Geenen, sophomore Nicole Yang, and sophomore Maddie Elias who turned in the identical scores, as each recorded at least one birdie throughout the round while closing out the day all at 76. Freshman Chantel Tsai currently sits at 5-over-par with her score being included in the team total.

Currently sitting at the top of the team leaderboard is Cal State LA at 5-over-par, and Isabelle Botero leads individually with a three-stroke lead at 4-under-par. Academy of Art remain in the action going into day two, just one stroke behind Pacific West Conference rival Biola with numerous other West Region opponents close by in the mix.

The Urban Knights will continue the 2023 RJGA Shootout at Estrella with the final round tomorrow teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
