2024 Silver State Invite/Multi Results
RENO, Nev. – The final day of the Silver State Invite/Multi had Academy of Art track & field add more names to the NCAA Division II list of Indoor Nationals provisional qualifiers back inside the newly-minted Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Excelling in her second event in as many days,
Marie-Jeanne Ourega made herself an Indoor Nationals provisional qualifier in both horizontal jumps with a 39-5 (12.01m) coming on her third triple jump attempt. She ended sixth overall in front of eight NCAA Division I competitors and began at fifth in the country for NCAA DII. Joining Ourega inside the competition's top eight was
Jaylen Walker whose best mark was a 37-5 (11.40m) on her fifth attempt as she led her heat.
Yacouba Gnacko emerged from an abbreviated field in the men's triple jump with one of the best distances among NCAA DII student-athletes this season. Out of his six attempts, his first proved to be the best as he delivered a 48-7.25 (14.81m) to open at ninth among Indoor Nationals provisional qualifiers.
Following up her dynamic 200m debut the day prior,
Toni-Ann Lindsay offered her best 60m dash effort in the event prelims where she posted a 7.49 that had her fourth out of 59 total sprinters in the field. She returned to hold that position with a 7.50 in the final while ending the weekend top seven in the country with Indoor Nationals provisional qualification in her second event.
Like Lindsay,
Ajani Ince kept his same spot from the prelims through the final, starting third out of 35 in total at 6.81Â before delivering a career-best time of 6.77Â for the top-three finish the in final. His last was his first Indoor Nationals provisional mark of the season, tying hm for 13th overall in the country.
Ince later joined
Josh Marlin,
Vaughn Lacour, and
Josh Shavies in dominating the field in the men's 4x400m relay. The quartet's combined 3:15.04 performance not only had them over six seconds faster than the next team but took them to fourth in the nation among Indoor Nationals provisional squads.
The women's 4x400m relay was just off the provisional standard for Indoor Nationals with Lindsay,
Lina Hanich,
Grace Southern, and
Erine Collard going 3:52.34 to cross the finish line less than a second from the postseason threshold.
Individually, Marlin was just off an Indoor Nationals provisional time in the 400m as his 48.53 was 0.22 seconds shy of the cutoff.
Finished with competition for this calendar year, ART U will return to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center for the Silver and Blue Invitational on Jan. 10-11 in 2025.
