Patriot Invitational (Day One Results)

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – ART U women's golf finds itself in 10th place after two rounds at the end of day one at the Patriot Invitational from the Poppy Hills Golf Club as the squad holds a 70-over-par 638 with sophomore Nicole Yang leading the Urban Knights with her 9-over-par 151, currently tied for 13th place individually.

Yang bettered her first round score in the second run through by one stroke (4-over-par 75) as she hit five birdies on the day. Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn came in next for ART U, as her 16-over-par 168 on the day saw three birdies and a consistent first round that totaled 10 pars. While freshman Chantel Tsai finished off the afternoon with a 20-over-par 162, graduate student Jae Eun Park totaled a 25-over-par 167 and senior Tessa Geenen ended the two rounds with a 31-over-par 173.

While Dallas Baptist holds a 20 stroke lead over second-place Cal State San Marcos with their 9-over-par 577, the individual leader in Julia Garcia also comes from DBU as she holds her first place ranking with a 3-under-par 139. Garcia holds a five-stroke lead over second place while CSUSM carries the two next-best competitors in Dianna Delgado and Makenna Cabardo. 

The Patriot Invitational will conclude from the Poppy Hills Golf Club on Tuesday.
