Women’s Golf Second Through Two Rounds At PacWest

PacWest Championship (Day Two Results)

WAIMEA, Hawaii —
Academy of Art women's golf maintained their second place standing today at the Mauna Lani Country Club as they finished up the second round of three total while concluding the day with a 48-over-par 624.

Senior Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn completed her second play through with an even-par 72, climbing the second-most spots out of all competitors, and now ranks tied for ninth place overall with an 11-over-par 155. With an identical total score of one another are freshman Chantel Tsai and graduate student Jae Eun Park who each hold a 12-over-par 156. Rounding it out for the Urban Knights are sophomore Nicole Yang, just one stroke back in 14th place with a 13-over-par 157, and senior Valeria Ruiz with a 29-over-par 173. 

While ART U is nine strokes shy of first place Biola, the Knights hold a one-stoke lead over third place UH Hilo going into the final round. Back on the individual leaderboard, Shuiyun He remains at the top with her 2-over-par 146, with Kiersten Saludares of UH Hilo and Brady Turnquist still right behind with a 4-over-par 148.

The final round of the Pacific West Conference Tournament will commence tomorrow.
