PacWest Championship (Final Results)

WAIMEA, Hawaii – Academy of Art women's golf finished in second place at the Pacific West Conference Championship Tournament today at the Mauna Lani Country Club as the Urban Knights recorded a 65-over-par 929 overall team score, while also shooting the best single round of the day out of all six teams with their 17-over-par 305. 

The Knights saw two members of ART U complete their tournament with a top 10 individual score with senior Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn finishing tied for sixth place and recording a 13-over-par 229 while freshman Chantel Tsai finished with a 14-over-par 230 and tied for eighth. With the top 10 finish, the pair received PacWest All-Tournament Team honors.

Tied for 11th place by tournament's end is sophomore Nicole Yang, who shot a 17-over-par 233 and finished in the third spot for ART U. Graduate student Jae Eun Park was right behind with a 20-over-par 236, and senior Valeria Ruiz rounded it out with a 40-over-par 256. 

Biola won the tournament as a team, as their 59-over-par 923 was enough to hold off the Knights fighting to make a comeback victory with their 65-over-par 929. ART U would eventually finish right above UH Hilo, with Hawaii Pacific, Point Loma, Dominican, and Westmont following thereafter. Kiersten Saludares of UH Hilo won on the individual side, as her 4-over-par 220 finished four strokes ahead of second place Brady Turnquist 7-over-par 223.
