2024 Mt. SAC Relays Results
WALNUT, Calif. – In Academy of Art track & field's final day of action at Mt. SAC Relays, the Urban Knights had nothing but NCAA Division II Outdoor Nationals provisional efforts from
Shareez Hamm in the 400m hurdles, the men's 4x400m relay, and multiple horizontal jumpers throughout Saturday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
In a 400m hurdles event that featured professionals in the top four spots, Hamm moved up to fourth in NCAA DII with a new season-best 51.37. He delivered his sixth Outdoor Nationals provisional qualification in six tries this season.
Hamm could also be found alongside
Omodiaogbe Oboh,
Ajani Ince, and
Josh Marlin in the 4x400m relay which pit numerous NCAA DI talents against one another. The top NCAA DII quartet to finish, ART U came through at 3:10.16 to post the fifth-fastest collective performance in program history. The result was second only to the Knights' 3:09.76 this season which has kept the quartet among the nation's top 10 thus far.
On
Yacouba Gnacko's third attempt in a triple jump event with impressive competitors such as multi-time Team USA representative Chris Bernard, the Industrial Design major flew to a 50-0.5 (15.25m) distance, giving him yet another Outdoor Nationals provisional mark this season. Gnacko can still be found atop the national leaders in NCAA DII with his 51-9.25 (15.78m) from earlier this season.
Challenging a stacked field that included eight NCAA DI jumpers as well as multiple professional athletes,
Marie-Jeanne Ourega saved her best mark, 19-10.75 (6.06m), for her fifth attempt down the runway. The effort marked her third Outdoor Nationals provisional standard this year.
Next up for Academy of Art will be the Pacific West Conference Championships which take place Apr. 26-27 in Montecito with Westmont serving as the host.
