Women's Soccer Announces Zeena Grewal As Newest Signee

Zeena GrewalSAN FRANCISCO – As Academy of Art women's soccer can now see the start of the 2024 season just around the corner, the squad has announced the most recent signing of the incoming recruiting class with Zeena Grewal (Bakersfield, Calif./Ridgeview High School) joining the Urban Knights.

"I am most excited to continue my education while getting to play the sport I love," Grewal said. "I love that the school is small and right in the city."

Playing three years on the varsity soccer team at Ridgeview High School, Grewal helped lead her high school squad to a 10-7-3 overall record in her senior campaign as she collected a team-high 21 points on seven goals and seven assists, which ranked herself in at least the top two on the team in all three scoring categories. While playing for Ridgeview, Grewal was a team captain and named All-League for two seasons, as she earned Most Valuable player her junior season, and was invited to play in her conference's All-Star Game at the end of her senior year. When not on the field for Ridgeview, Grewal was a part of Bakersfield Legacy for five years, while also playing for Albion Central Cal for an additional three.

With a future goal of working in sports marketing, Grewal will join the Academy of Art women's soccer team as an inductee into the School of Communications & Media Technologies. Grewal joins Tegan Smith and Aubrey Schraml as part of ART U's incoming recruiting class.
