ART U Concludes PacWest Tourney, Zanichelli Earns Top 10

Giulio Zanichelli PacWestPacWest Championship (Day 3)

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada –
Wrapping up the Pacific West Conference Tournament with a 24-over-par 888, Academy of Art men's golf finish in fourth place of nine teams through three rounds of action.

Shooting his second even-par of the tournament, senior Giulio Zanichelli wrapped up his play with a 1-under-par 215, finishing in fifth place individually and receiving a top 10 honor. Rising by 10 spots on the leaderboard, senior Anson Pan shot his best round on the final day with an even-par as well, totaling a 6-over-par 222, good for 15th place. Freshman Mario Stump was next up for the Urban Knights with his 9-over-par 225, while junior Zach DuBourdieu concluded with a 12-over-par 228. Freshman Ekam Singh rounded out ART U with his 12-over-par 228. 

Zanichelli's top 10 finish now gives him sole possession of the ART U program record for most career top 10 finishes (12).

Taking the title, UH Hilo took the crown as a unit with their 7-under-par 857, eight strokes better than second-place Hawaii Pacific. Dylan Bercan of UH Hilo got it done on the final day of the tournament to take the individual title with a 7-under-par 209 after besting Michael Sorber in a one-hole playoff, shooting a birdie to clinch the victory. 

ART U will next look out to see if they or an individual will be invited for more postseason action.
