Zanichelli Closes West Regionals And Collegiate Career

NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals (Day 3)

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Through all three rounds of the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals Tournament at the Victoria Club, senior Giulio Zanichelli tied his best score of the tournament on the final day, and collected a 4-over-par 220 as a whole by the invitational's end.

Putting together a 1-under-par 71 for the second time this tournament, Zanichelli tied his birdie count in the third round compared to the rest of the invite, adding on six to his total to come out with 12 altogether. Finishing out strong, Zanichelli recorded three of those birdies in his final four holes, pushing himself back down to below par for the day.

No. 1 Colorado Christian came out with the team win at the regional with a 46-under-par 818, finishing 14 strokes ahead of No. 6 Oklahoma Christian. Individually, Oskari Nikku of Oklahoma Christian rose two spots on the leaderboard to finish in first place with his 17-under-par 199, while three members of Colorado Christian were next up just a few strokes behind.
