Zanichelli Golfer Of Year Again, DuBourdieu Third Team

2024-25 All-PacWest Teams

LONG BEACH, Calif. –
After Academy of Art men's golf closed out the 2024-25 campaign, two individuals have been honored with All-Pacific West Conference awards in senior Giulio Zanichelli Giulio Zanichellireceiving his second-straight Golfer of the Year title while junior Zach DuBourdieu was rewarded with All-PacWest Third Team in the announcement on Wednesday.

"Giulio is such an amazingly talented person across the board, and he works very hard to accomplish his goals," said Head Coach Joe Dolby. "Winning PacWest Player of the Year for the second year in a row is well deserved, and solidifies his place as the most accomplished men's golfer in ART U history. I'm excited to see what the next chapter holds for him as he embarks on his career in professional golf. The sky's the limit!"

As the Industrial Design major held a 72.09 round average over the course of the season, Zanichelli broke the ART U program record for most career top 10 finishes. Throughout the campaign, Zanichelli did so this season on five occasions, while he additionally ranked in the top six during all five. The senior has also recorded par or better on 19 times this season, while his lowest round was a 5-under-par 67 that he shot at the WWU Invitational on Oct. 1. Before heading to NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals as an individual, Zanichelli collected All-Tournament Team honors at the conference championships on Apr. 23.

The transfer from Chaminade in DuBourdieu played a vital role for ART U this season, putting together a 76.5 scoring average in 20 rounds played in 2024-25. The Communication & Media Technologies major showed what he is capable of down the stretch of the spring season, dropping more than a stroke in his average in the Zach DuBourdieulatter half. DuBourdieu's junior season was highlighted by his sixth place finish at the Sonoma State Spring Invitational on Mar. 25, leading his squad with his 2-over-par 218, his best as an Urban Knight.

"I'm proud of Zach for earning All-PacWest Third Team honors for the second time in his career," Dolby said. "His addition to our lineup as a transfer this spring was a much needed spark, and his fit with our team culture was perfect from the first day of the semester. I'm sorry that we won't get the chance to work together next year, as he was poised to take on a nice leadership role with a lot of young talent on next year's squad. I wish him the best wherever he lands, and it was a pleasure to coach him and see him earn this great award."

This is the second both All-PacWest First Team and PacWest Player of the Year honor for Zanichelli in his career, while his Player of the Year honor is the third time an Urban Knight has done so in program history after Julius Kreutzer did so in 2021. This is the second All-PacWest Third Team award for DuBourdieu, and his first with ART U.
