NDNU Invite Day Two Final Results

LIVERMORE, Calif. – Academy of Art men's golf headed to Livermore for the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational looking to improve, having cracked the top ten in each of the season's first two tournaments.
 
DAY ONE:
 
As a team, the Urban Knights finished the first two rounds in 17th-place with a stroke total of 631 (just one behind 16th-place NDNU).
 
Redshirt senior Cody Moore had the lowest total after the first day, shooting a 73 (+1) in the first round and a 79 (+7) in the second to tie for 42nd-place. Senior Dat Do followed, tying for 66th-place after posting a 79 and 78 in the first and second rounds respectively.
 
DAY TWO:
 
ART U improved overall on the tournament's final day, finishing in 16th-place.
 
Moore was again the highest-ranked player for the Knights, matching his second round total of 79 on the closing day to tie for 51st-place. Sophomore Daniel Cosgrove saw the biggest improvement moving into the final round, improving seven strokes to shoot a 75 on the final day. Both Cosgrove and Do finished knotted in 69th-place.
 
Other golfers for ART U included freshman Lawrence Liang who made his debut with the Urban Knights and finished in 88th-place with a 244 overall stroke total. Lastly, freshman Jose Lopez Butron was just behind Liang, coming in 89th-place and shooting a 245 overall.
 
Academy of Art has just two more regular season tournaments left in the spring, with the CBU Spring Break Invitational taking place March 21-22 at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Riverside, Calif.
