Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout - Final Results
VALLEJO, Calif. – Academy of Art men's golf closed out the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Saturday, finishing eighth out of ten programs.

After posting back-to-back rounds of 309 strokes in the opening pair of rounds, the Urban Knights returned on Saturday and totaled 319.

Their efforts were led by sophomore
Lawrence Liang. After finishing the first two rounds with 77 strokes in each and tying for 38th, the Shenzhen, China native improved one stroke (76) and finished the tournament tied for 35th. It was the first time that the sophomore has led ART U in a tournament. Â The next pair of finishers for Academy of Art finished right next to each other. Senior
Daniel Cosgrove tied for 43rd with 83 strokes in the third round. The Trim, Ireland native headed into the round tied for 24th. Junior
Oskar Frick posted his best round of the tournament on Saturday, shooting a 77. His efforts allowed him to hold steady in a tie for 49th after entering the round in the same position.

The Urban Knights are right back in action on Monday, February 27 as they host the second-annual East-West Invitational at The Course at Wente Vineyards.Â
