2019 Bay Area Invitational Results (Day 2)
SAN FRANCISCO -- Every Academy of Art golfer, except one who matched his score, improved on their first round to move the Urban Knights up to ninth and put them just a single stroke out of sixth place after day two of the Bay Area Invitational.
Sophomore
Matthew Watkins leads ART U once again with a stellar 70 (-2) to claim the second lowest round of the day among all golfers. Watkins improved three strokes on his day one score to end tied for fourth with a cumulative score of 152 headed into the final day of competition. The sophomore has one eagle and seven birdies thus far.
Redshirt senior
Oskar Frick, playing as an individual, had the second lowest ART U round of the day, shooting 72 (E), two strokes better than day one. Juniors
Gabriel De Leon Manotoc and
Otto Homruen were the next scorers for ART U shooting 73 (+1) and 75 (+3) respectively to both end with a cumulative score of 151. Senior
Lawrence Liang matched his day one performance with a score of 76 to round out the Urban Knight scorers. On the 12th hole senior
Jose Lopez Butron claimed the lone ART U eagle of the day and improved two strokes on his day one performance.
Due to weather the final day of the Bay Area Invitational will be a shotgun start, beginning at 9 a.m.
