2021 Sonoma State Fall Invitational (Full Results)
SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Looking for her second tournament victory while starting the final round of the Sonoma State Fall Invitational atop the leaderboard, Academy of Art women's golf junior
Anahi Servin succeeded in that goal after she finished at 3-over-par 147 to win by two strokes. Meanwhile, her effort would help ART U to tie for fourth as a squad a combined 57-over-par 633.
After winning Birdie Fest that last time on the links on
Sept. 21, Servin followed up that momentum by making it two in a row with the victory on Tuesday, shooting a 4-over-par 76 with one birdie in the final round for the best ART U score of the day. It marks the 12th tournament win for Servin in her career, further extending her ART U record, as she dropped a total of four birdies in the two rounds.
Securing the first top-20 finish of her career was freshman
Tessa Geenen, ending the action in a tie for 19th place at 15-over-par 159. While she did not record a birdie in the final round, Geenen did use a strong front nine in which she was only 1-over to help her finish the final round at 5-over-par 77. Placing just behind Geenen was sophomore
Jae Eun Park, who tied for 25th place at 16-over-par 160. Also included in ART U's score was junior
Iveta Posledni, who tied for 53rd at 26-over-par 170.
Winning the team portion of the tournament was host school Sonoma State, as the Seawolves edged out Cal State San Marcos by just one stroke to snag the victory at 44-over-par 620. Tied with the Urban Knights in fourth place was Western Washington, and coming in just behind ART U was fellow PacWest member Holy Names (60-over-par 636).
The fall season has concluded for the Urban Knights, as they will not return to the links until the spring. Stay tuned to
