PacWest Weekly Awards (Sept. 23)
IRVINE, Calif. – Capping off a week in which she set the lowest individual round score in program history and propelled ART U to its first victory of the fall, Academy of Art women's golf junior
Anahi Servin has been named the Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week after placing first at Dominican's Birdie Fest with a 6-under-par 136. It is a PacWest record 13th time she has received the award, and is for tournaments played from Sept. 16-22.
The opening round was the best of the tournament for Servin, as she carded an 8-under-par 63 with nine birdies to broke her previous tournament-round record of 64, which she shot on
Apr. 23, 2018 during the PacWest Championships (also a PacWest record). Her score would be a big factor in the Urban Knights combining for a 2-over-par 286 to set the program record for lowest team tournament round score, breaking the
288 shot by the Knights during the second round of the
2019 PacWest Championships. Servin collected a total of 12 birdies at the aptly named Birdie Fest, leading the tournament field and helping ART U to lead in the category as a team with 31.
It is the first time for Servin and the Urban Knights in receiving the honor this season.
