2023 West Regional Preview (Final Results)

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Academy of Art men's golf elevated two spots to close out the West Regional Preview with sophomore Giulio Zanichelli finishing in the top 25 after Tuesday's final round at Foxtail Golf Course.

Zanichelli added four more birdies in his final 18 holes to give him 13 in the tournament and an even-par 72 as he tied for 24th overall with a 3-over-par 219. Progressively bettering his scores with each round, sophomore Anson Pan wrapped up with a 3-over-par 75 on the day and a 16-over-par 232 to tie for 87th and match junior Allan Osornio both in round three and in the two-day competition as a whole. Freshman Jerah Venkaiya was the fourth to finish for ART U at 102nd with a 21-over-par 237.

With four of five Urban Knights improving upon their round two scores, ART U tied with UT Tyler for 18th overall with a final collective card of 48-over-par 912. Cal State San Marcos finished with the team title (11-under-par 853) as the Cougars' Matthew Pennington shared the best individual score with Western Washington's Jordan Lee at an 8-under-par 208.

When Academy of Art next competes, it will be in the Pacific West Conference Championship Tournament to be held Apr. 17-19 at Wigwam Golf Club in Arizona.
