Allan Osornio just outside the top 10 individually at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational on Tuesday.
Osornio tied for 12th at a 15-over-par 225 after his best round of the tournament came in the second (a 1-over-par 71) which ended up being played over both Monday and Tuesday due to difficult weather conditions. He collected seven birdies, tying junior
Giulio Zanichelli, who had four in the first round and was the team leader at that point before ending the two days with a 20-over-par 230 in a tie for 22nd overall. Freshman
Miguel Mendoza's first collegiate competition had him notch six birdies en route to taking 31st with a 29-over-par 239 and sophomore
Jerah Venkaiya rounded out the scoring with a 37-over-par 247 in 37th overall.
ART U finished with a 95-over-par 935 as a team, trailing Dominican by 13 strokes while Sonoma State captured the team title with a 17-over-par 857 points led by tournament victor Lucas Happy (even-par 210) and three other Seawolves in the top four spots.
The fall season will continue with the Urban Knights in action at Chico State's Wildcat Invitational starting on Oct. 2.
