ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

After departing the Urban Knights to intern with the Kansas City Chiefs, Meg Williams interned the San Francisco 49ers, graduated to Photo Editor and Assistant Team Photographer one year later, then stepped into her current role as Team Photographer in March 2017.

In addition to photographing games, practices, community events plus marketing and product photo shoots, Williams has had the opportunity to photograph events for Levi’s stadium including; Super Bowl 50, Wrestlemania, NHL Winter Classic, PAC-12 Championship, Taylor Swift, Grateful Dead, Supercross, One Direction, COPA America, and more.
 

"Academy of Art has taught me to have a critical eye," Williams said. "My experience there has helped me dissect photos and understand better what makes a compelling image. I have also learned the technical side such as studio and location lighting as well as editing programs. However, I think volleyball has prepared me the most for this job. I have learned how to succeed under pressure, how to collaborate with others to work towards a common goal, and it has instilled a strong sense of integrity in all that I do. I have learned numerous life skills from ART U Volleyball and I am so grateful for that."
