Concordia Invitational Final Results
PORTLAND, Ore. – Junior
Julius Kreutzer has won the Concordia Invitational. In just his third tournament as an Urban Knight, Kreutzer secured the second ART U men's golf individual title in program history by shooting a remarkable 5-under-par 208. His sensational performance led Academy of Art to a fifth place finish, their highest of the fall, with a cumulative score of 18-over-par 870.Â

"Julius is a great player," said head coach
Andy Moren. "I am very happy for him and his performance. It is not much of a surprise, he has the ability to have those types of performances each time he tees it up."
After ending day one in a tie for first, Kreutzer pulled ahead by firing a 1-over-par 72 in the final round. His two birdies on the day solidified the championship, as the next highest finisher was two strokes back. Senior
Otto Homruen put together another solid tournament, and ended tied for 18th after an even 71 brought his cumulative score to 4-over-par 217. Juniors
Matthew Watkins and
Zhane Chan rounded out the ART U scorers in a tie for 35th. Watkins and Chan shot a 73 and 74 respectively, and both ended with a cumulative score of 223. Â
"The team also played very well," said Moren. "I am happy for the guys. It looks like they are gaining confidence with each tournament and I am looking forward to what they can accomplish this year."
After a strong showing at the Concordia Invitational, Academy of Art will look ahead to their final tournament of the fall, the Sierra Central Wildcat Classic, on Oct. 14-15.
