NDNU Argonaut Invitational Final Results
LIVERMORE, Calif. -- In the final day of the NDNU Argonaut Invitational at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course, Academy of Art shot a 308 as a team to finish seventh out of a 15 team field. The Urban Knights ended the three rounds of golf with an overall score of 913.
"The guys showed a lot of maturity, which is a testament to their hard work and experience," said head coach
Andy Moren. "I am proud of how they played."
Junior
Gabriel De Leon Manotoc improved on his day one positioning and finished tied for fifth overall in a 85 man field. Manotoc ended his third round with a 75 to bring his overall score to 222 (+6) for his best finish of the spring thus far. Junior
Otto Homruen led ART U with eight birdies and shot a tournament best (-6) on par-5 holes. His six under was one stroke better than Manotoc who shot (-5) for the second best score on par-5's. Homruen finished with an overall score of 227 (+11) after putting up a 77 in the third round.
Jumping 11 spaces to finish tied for the 23rd was senior
Lawrence Liang who finished round three with a total score of 229 (+13.) Fellow senior
Oskar Frick rounded out the scoring positions for the Urban Knights with his cumulative 243.
"We are continually showing improvements throughout our lineup," commented Moren. "I know we are going to put it all together soon."
ART U's next event will take place over two days at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in Alameda, Calif on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19.
