2020 Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational Results

Ombretta Picciolie Minkue Meye added another NCAA Division II Nationals provisional qualifier in the 60m.

The women's 4x200m team saw
Mia Avila,
Darria Matthias,
Selena Arjona-Alcazar, and Minkue Meye combine for the top mark out of 19 teams. Their time of 1:41.66 was just 0.03 from the ART U record set in 2018.
On the men's side,
Shareez Hamm,
Daquan Berry,
Grant Swinton, and
Roshard Williams also earned a top finish out of 14 quartets. They went 1:28.96 for the third-fastest time in program history, 0.84 off of the 2019 record.
Individual sprint action featured Minkue Meye's second Nationals qualifier of the season at 7.61 in the 60m. The time was 0.06 of her personal record and elevated her to 13th in the country. Four Urban Knights appeared in the top four of an 81-sprinter field with Matthias at second and Arjona-Alcazar fourth.
In her first triple jump action since winning the NCAA Division II title last year,
Camille Jouanno placed first out of 28 competitors with a 38-4.25 (11.69m) mark just shy of Nationals provisional qualification.
Madison McMahon's collegiate debut came in the high jump and featured a 5-3 (1.60m) mark good for second of 15 jumpers on Friday and third in program history.
The men's and women's distance medley relays made their debuts on Friday and saw the collection of
Hasna Kaarour,
Latavia Hawkins,
Natalia Novak, and
Audrey Rosencrans go 12:33.25 for the fastest DII time thus far. Two men's teams led the 12 total in action as
James Young,
Lennard Marshall,
Joshua Browne, and
Hudson Lockette turned in a 10:22.14 while
Rabah Houali, Hamm,
Abdelouakil Mustapha, and
Charlie Messai added a 10:28.72. Those two marks are second and third in the country to date.
A first-place finish came for Swinton out of 86 sprinters in the men's 200m where he went 22.13. In the 400m, Williams turned in a personal record 50.17 for second of a 52-man field.
ART U will compete in two meets tomorrow, returning to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the Albany Great Dane Classic and traveling to New York City for the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invitational at The Armory.
