ALAMEDA, Calif. – Academy of Art men's golf combined to shoot the lowest round as a team during the final round of the Pioneer Shootout, turning in a 4-under-par 302 as the Urban Knights tried to close in on another tournament victory. While ART U would come up short in that quest, the Knights did notch a second place finish thanks to all four qualifying golfers recording top-15 finishes, led by junior
Julius Kreutzer's second-place finish at 1-under-par 143.
"This team continues to show their grit and I am very proud of the way they competed this week," said ART U Head Coach
Andy Moren. "I know their best is still ahead of them and I'm looking forward to seeing it."

his third tournament victory, he did wind up in second place at just three strokes back of the individual tournament winner of Regis' Collin Bordeaux at 4-under-par 140. Helping lead the charge on the final day along with Kreutzer was junior
Matthew Watkins, as both shot a 4-under-par 68 to tie for the lowest round in the tournament. It was a combined for 12 birdies on the final day of action between the two, with seven belonging to Watkins, as the Urban Knights went on to finish with a tournament-leading 33 birdies.
