PacWest Weekly Awards (Mar. 10)
IRVINE, Calif. – Capturing her first top-10 finish of the spring season after tying for third with a 4-over-par 148 earlier this week while at the Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational, Academy of Art women's golf junior
Anahi Servin has been named the Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week. The award is for tournaments played from Mar. 2-9.
The 32nd top-10 finish of Servin's career, already an ART U record,
came in the form of identical 2-over-par 74s, doing so first on day one with a total of four birdies before carding an identical score the following day, though she had only two birdies in the final round. Her six total birdies were tied for the fourth-most in the entire tournament field. The top individual finisher from the PacWest, Servin helped the Knights to their best finish as a team in this spring season, as Academy of Art closed the tournament in fifth place with a combined 41-over-par 617.
All three times that an Urban Knight has been named the PacWest Golfer of the Week this 2021-22 season have belonged to Servin, having earned the honor twice in the fall on
Sept. 23 and
Oct. 6. It continues to extend her PacWest record for Golfer of the Week awards, as this is the 15th time in Servin's career she has claimed the weekly honor. With the award, Servin has also tied the overall PacWest for Athlete of the Week in all sports.
