PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (March 14)

IRVINE, Calif. -- Junior Gabriel De Leon Manotoc is PacWest Golfer of the Week after a top five finish out of a field of 85 at the NDNU Argonaut Invitational Tuesday at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course.

"We are very proud of how well Gabe played this week," said head coach Andy Moren. "He is a great player and his best golf is in front of him. Looking forward to the rest of the season."

This is Manotoc's first PacWest Weekly Award of his career and comes after a solid three rounds of golf that ended with a cumulative score of 222 (+6) for his best finish of the spring. His best round came on day one when he shot a 72 (E) in the first round of play, including an eagle on the 17th hole. The junior from the Philippines also had the second best score of the entire field on par-5's, shooting (-5). The Urban Knights ended the tournament in seventh out of a 15 team field.
