PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (Mar. 12)
IRVINE, Calif. – A second place finish at the 2020 Notre Dame de Namur Argonaut Invitational has earned Academy of Art men's golf junior
Julius Kreutzer the honor of Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week for Mar. 12. It is the second weekly honor of his career.
Kreutzer had a
strong start and finish to the tournament, carding a pair of 1-under-par 71's in rounds one and three. The final round helped the Urban Knights to a first-place finish by just one stroke with a total count of 876, just barely edging out Dixie State to take the win. Overall, Kreutzer
ended the tournament at even-par 216, five strokes back of individual winner Joey Herrera.
The
first weekly award for Kreutzer came in the
fall on Oct. 10, 2019, following his breakout performance in the Concordia Invitational in which he secured the
second ART U men's golf individual title with a 5-under-par 205. In that tournament, he
tied the lowest single-round score in the program's 11-year history.
