PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (Mar. 9)
IRVINE, Calif. – Starting off the season with back-to-back tournament wins after tying for first at the Pioneer Shootout last week, Academy of Art women's golf junior
Anahi Servin has claimed her record 10th Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week award, splitting the award along with Claire Shubin of Domincan. The award is for tournaments played from Mar. 1-7.
Just a week after
winning the Bay Area Invitational during her first time on the course in 2021, Servin has
now captured consecutive tournament titles by turning in an
even-par 144 at the Pioneer Shootout form Chuck Corica Golf Complex to tie for first place with Shubin. A
tournament-leading eight birdies propelled Servin to the tournament win, including three on the final day during her round of 1-under-par 71, tied with Shubin's 71 in round one as the lowest score of the tournament. For Servin, it is the eighth career individual tournament title,
having won three in each of her freshman and sophomore seasons.
This is both the second weekly honor for Servin and the Urban Knights, with Servin having also been named Co-Golfer of the Week last week (
Feb. 25). It is now the 10th time in Servin's career that she has earned the award, breaking a tie with Alli Kim for the most in PacWest history.
