PacWest Weekly Awards (Apr. 1)
IRVINE, Calif. – ART U women's golf junior
Anahi Servin continued to dominate the links in 2020-21, winning the Academy of Art Invitational in windy conditions by three strokes to be named the Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week for a record 12th time in her career. The award is for tournaments played from Mar. 25-31.
This marks the third tournament win of the season in four tries for Servin, finishing as the runner-up in the single event that she did not take first, as she continues to build upon her own PacWest record in weekly awards. Servin recorded identical 6-over-par 80's in the two rounds at the Academy of Art Invitational, leading her to post an overall score of 16-over-par 160. During the tournament, Servin notched the best par-4 score (8-over-par) and the most pars (20) en route to besting a pair of Sonoma State Seawolves golfers by three strokes. The top-10 finish tied her with career record holder
Lyra Yoe for the most in ART U history (23).
It is the fourth time that an Urban Knight has been named the golfer of the week, with all of them belonging to Servin (also:
Feb. 25,
Mar. 9,
Mar. 11).
