PacWest Golfer of the Week Awards (Mar. 11)

IRVINE, Calif. – Another impressive week on the links earned a pair of Academy of Art golfers Pacific West Conference Golfer of the Week awards, as women's golf junior Anahi Servin earned her PacWest record 11th weekly women's honor, while men's golf junior Julius Kreutzer's second tournament victory of 2020-21 nabbed his first weekly recognition this year. The award is for tournaments played form Mar. 4-10. 

It's the third consecutive weekly PacWest Golfer of the Week award for Servin, who was one stroke away from winning her third tournament in as many tries in 2020-21 after she carded a 7-over-par 151 to take home second place at the NNU Nighthawks Invitational. Her best round of the tournament came in the final round of action, tying the lowest single round of the tournament at 1-over-par 73, helping Servin conquer the tough conditions that took place during the tournament. The top-5 finish, along with fellow junior teammate Iveta Posledni in fourth, helped the Urban Knights to their best finish as a team, concluding action in second place by combining for a 56-over-par 632. 

Kreutzer took home his second tournament title of the year in as many tries, storming all the way back from 16th place after the first round's action at the NNU Nighthawks Invitational. It was all thanks to a 3-under-par 69 in the final round, helping the junior to end the tournament with an overall score of 2-over-par 146, barely besting second place by one stroke. His effort nearly helped clinch another team tournament victory as the Urban Knights tied for third at 36-over-par 612, just two strokes back of winner Western Washington. 

It is the third time ART U women's golf has received a weekly award this season, all belonging to Servin (also: Feb. 25, Mar. 9). For Kreutzer and ART U men's golf, it is their first time receiving the honor this season, while marking the third time he has received it in his career.
