Men's Golf Earns Fifth Straight GCAA All-Academic Team

2020 GCAA Academic Team Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – In a recent announcement by the Golf Coaches Association of America, the Academy of Art men's golf team collected All-Academic Team honors, marking the Urban Knights' fifth consecutive annual recognition.

"It is great to see the team awarded for their dedication to their studies," said head coach Andy Moren. "Each year they do an outstanding job to committing themselves to improving their games, but also their grades. I am very proud of all our players!"

With a 3.35 cumulative grade point average (GPA), ART U was one of just three schools in the PacWest to receive the All-Academic Team Award and 28 across Division II. The recognition is given to any men's golf program with a cumulative grade point average over 3.00 for the academic year.

The team recognition comes after six Urban Knights were selected for Academic All-PacWest including five who earned the distinction of Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars. Among those individuals, junior Julius Kreutzer was named the PacWest Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
