2022-23 All-PacWest Teams
IRVINE, Calif. – After an impressive 2022-23 campaign in which she logged 17 double-doubles and lead the country in rebounding, Academy of Art women's basketball sophomore forward/center
Alisha Wilson earned a place on the All-PacWest First Team in Tuesday's announcement of Pacific West Conference honors.

"Alisha did some great things for us this season," said Head Coach
Lindsey Foster. "Congratulations to her on this All-PacWest First Team accomplishment."
Wilson was an absolute force in just her second season with the Urban Knights. Coming into the year as an
Preseason All-PacWest Team selection, the Pomona native recorded double-digit rebounds in all but three of her 22 games played, ultimately leading NCAA Division II in offensive rebounds per game (5.7), tying with Central Washington's Samantha Bowman for the nation's highest rebounds per game average (14.8), and setting a new ART U single-season record in the process. More records came from Wilson in 2022-23 including the program's most career double-doubles (31) which she surpassed en route to tying the Academy of Art single-season double-doubles record (17). The Communications & Media Technologies major ranked eighth in the nation in double-doubles, was top 20 in NCAA DII and second in the PacWest in steals per game (2.8), the conference leader in field goal percentage (.522), and fourth in the PacWest in points per game (15.2) as well as sixth in blocks per game (0.9).
A six-time PacWest Defender of the Week (
Jan. 4,
Jan. 23,
Jan. 30,
Feb. 6,
Feb. 20,
Feb. 27) and once the conference's Player of the Week (
Jan. 16) to set new a ART U career record of nine weekly honors, Wilson posted double-doubles in her first two contests then began an incredible 12-game streak on
Dec. 6 versus Sonoma State. Some of her biggest scoring outputs also came during that time as she delivered a career-high 28 points against Holy Names on
Dec. 30 then matched that total in a rematch with Concordia on
Jan. 19. Season highs of four blocks twice came in that stretch (once paired with 27 points, 18 rebounds, five steals, and four assists at Chaminade on
Jan. 10) and a career-high seven steals followed shortly thereafter against UH Hilo on
Jan. 29. The year saw her collect 22 rebounds three times, but Wilson saved her best performance for
Feb. 19 versus Holy Names when she tied the Academy of Art single-game record with 23 rebounds.
This is the second All-PacWest Team honor for Wilson in her career after she was
All-PacWest Second Team last season.
